Notre Dame head coach Charlie Weis should have become a professional boxer. He has been winning a lot recruiting bouts as of late.
Kendall Moore, a linebacker prospect out of Raleigh, North Carolina, committed to Notre Dame Saturday afternoon at a news conference held at Southeast Raleigh High School in front of friends and family. He chose Notre Dame over heavy interest from Florida State and North Carolina State.
Moore becomes the 12th committment in the 2010 class for the Irish, and first to sign as a linebacker. He stands 6-3, 232 pounds, and reportedly runs a 4.67 40-yard dash time. Rivals.com rates him a four-star prospect.
Although he has committed to Notre Dame, Moore said he would like to take a few visits, just to make sure he made the right decision. At the moment, though, he's all Irish.
